Jeff Connors graduated from Eldorado High School in 2001 with honors and a 3.8 GPA. He was an active member of DECA and competed in state and national events. Jeff went to college at the University of Nevada Las Vegas part time for four years before focusing on racing. He plans to resume college and recieve a B.S. in Business Marketing later this year. Jeff is currently employed by the Richard Petty Driving Experience at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway where he is a driving instructor. Jeff also races for Al Budd Racing at the Bullring in a superlate model. He will be running all 20 races this year which will be his first full season at the Bullring and on the asphalt.
Jeff Connors began racing in 2004 in a Dwarf car. He was in the Southern Nevada Dwarf car Association which is part of the Western States Dwarf Car Association. The WSDCA has 4 national events every year with an average of 80 cars competing at each race. In 2005 Jeff was the highest finishing rookie in all 4 WSDCA nationals with 3 top 10 finishes. At years end Jeff finished 7th in national points. He had 2 "A" main wins in the SNDCA which led to his 4th place finish in points. Jeff also was crowned rookie of the year and won the hard charger award for passing the most cars in 2005. In 2006 Jeff started off the year with a car that he and his friends rebuilt over the winter. Thanks to Roland Kent, Ronnie Williams, Ryan Cotrell, and Tom Cotrell Jeff had a perfect car in 2006. In January and February He ran the Valley Steel Supply Winter Series in Arizona and won 5 of 9 races capturing the championship. Jeff won a total of 17 "A" mains in 2006 on his way to the SNDCA championship. He also finished 2nd in WSDCA points finishing in the top 3 at all the national events. In addition to running a full time dwarf car schedule Jeff ran an IMCA modified at the Duel in the Desert for Roland Kent Motorsports. He also competed in 2 superlate model races for Chuck Trickle and 5 Late Model races out of Dick Cobbs shop at the Bullring in Las Vegas. In Jeff's Dwarf car career he ran at 13 tracks in 5 different states winning 19 races in 2 years. In 2007 Jeff is putting all his focus on the asphalt at the Bullring driving the # 7 Superlate model for Al Budd Racing.
Jeff will bring his knowledge and skill to the Bullring with the goals of rookie of the year and track championship to add to his resume.
